An Introduction To Compressors

Executive Summary About Compressors By Thomas Morva

Compressors are machines that compress air or gas. There are many compressor types. Different compressor types achieve different compression ratios. Moreover, the horsepower that different compressors can achieve varies from 1 to 2 HP (Horsepower), up to a few thousand HP. Centrifugal compressors are used for heavy industrial purposes. Centrifugal compressors produce from ~100 HP up to a few thousand HP.

Rotary screw compressors are compressors aimed at commercial use. Diagonal/Mixed-flow compressors are similar to centrifugal compressors except for some technical characteristics.

Axial-flow compressors are mostly used in large gas-turbine engines.

Scroll compressors are not as efficient as rotary screw compressors.

Tips When Seeking Gas Compressors

Executive Summary About Compressors By Mike Selvon

Gas air compressors provide the same convenience in terms of air compressor tools.

Truck air compressors are the most popular, being mounted on the back of the truck. Many mobile tire services use compressors on the back of their trucks.

Mini air compressors and the vertical one are two different styles of gas air compressors. Gas air compressors also generate an incredible amount of noise.

Do not confuse natural gas air compressors with gas compressors. Gas air compressors allow you to use your pneumatic tools because they provide a steady supply of high pressure air. Evaluating the intended application of the compressor is important before purchasing gas compressors.
